Overview
Banbaleena, also known as The Teacher, Weverly Mason and Case 7, is a Mascot teacher created by Banban's Kindergarten. She is dedicated to her job as a teacher and is extremely intolerant of bad students. She was Initially created to help calm Banban down, and to act as a teacher to the children. However, after spending time with Banban, she became difficult to work with and ultimately was not approved for presentation.
Personality
Banbaleena at first seems to be a dedicated teacher who tries her hardest to teach her students well, however she also possesses a morbid disposition and delusions of grandeur. She has a short temper and quickly resorts to violence if a student misbehaves. This is exemplified in her classroom, where she will kill the player if they answer questions incorrectly or try to leave. Despite her threatening and controlling behaviours, Banbaleena fully believes she is a teacher, and is very insecure on whether or not she fills this role successfully.
Similarly, Banbaleena wholly thinks of herself as her genome donor, Weverly Mason, and other characters refer to her by this name. In a conversation with Sherriff Toadster, he states that Banbaleena is distrustful of Stinger Flynn, much like Weverly.
Banbaleena usually speaks in a peppy and upbeat tone, and tries to be polite when speaking to other people, yet is hostile towards people who defy her rules or actions. When she is captured, her description in the Toadster Archives says that she was immediately aggressive when Toadster confronted her, and that she insisted she had to search for one of her students. In her room in the kingdom infirmary she is surrounded by three bowling pins in an attempt to calm her. It's worth noting that bowling pins are used as mean students in the make-believe class that the player can attend.
Appearance
Banbaleena is a white humanoid being with a pair of horns that resemble cat ears atop her head. One of these horns is adorned with a dainty pink bow. Her monstrous form takes on a different appearance, characterized by the addition of pink eyes and lips covered with pink stuff, presumably made out of makeup. Other people say that she is a bipedal red cat-like creature with a bow on one of her horns.
Her form undergoes a minor change during her jumpscare. Her eyes transform into a bloodcurdling crimson, and her makeup streaks down her face, resembling someone overcome with sorrow.
When she is naughtified, her skin is completely black and her eyes and bow glow purple. Her makeup also disappears.
Gameplay
Garten of Banban II
Banbaleena first appears in Garten of Banban II, being introduced at first as a friendly monster who saves the Player's life from Opila Bird, but quickly shows her vicious side, where if the Player disobeys her or gets her questions wrong, she kills them. If The Player obeys her or answers correctly, she will let them live.
Banbaleena is first seen as an illustration in the Communications Sector alongside the expanded cast illustration that is in Garten of Banban II.
Later, she appears for the first time in the Testing Sector. If The Player enters The Opila Room they will be pursued by Opila Bird. Then, Banbaleena steps out of her classroom into the middle of the corridor, and guides the Player into the classroom.
Banbaleena is seen then seen in her Classroom as the class's teacher, where she instructs the Player to sit, and conducts classes in which she asks revision questions on the subjects of Maths, Science and Kindness, while allowing the Player and Their Fellow Students to take breaks in the Rec Room after the Maths and Science classes.
During the Health and Kindness class, Banbaleena hears Slow Seline calling out "Hello?" outside and leaves the room to investigate, The Player uses this as an opportunity to escape the classroom, and several of the other students also skip class at this time. Upon discovering this, Banbaleena is upset and can be heard talking about how she tried to be a good teacher this time, suggesting that the previous classes ended unsuccessfully. She goes pursue the Player but fails due to the door being closed by the player. If the player does not close the door, she will shout at the player "You've been a bad student!" before killing them.
Banbaleena's final appearance is in the Assembly Room (and Opila Bird's walkway) At Assembly Time, she enters the room through her own walkway and pursues the Player along with Jumbo Josh through Opila Bird's walkway for having been a bad student. Ultimately, Banbaleena chases the Player to the end of the walkway, until she is flattened by a punch from Jumbo Josh, then taken away, dropping the White Keycard.
Garten of Banban III
In Garten of Banban III Banbaleena appears in The Jumbo Watch Room after she was captured by Jumbo Josh at the end of Garten of Banban II. In the room she is trapped by Jumbo Josh with The Player, and an unconscious Nabnab, she informs The Player that Jumbo Josh will check the room every couple minutes and because he thinks that everyone in the room are โdollsโ. because of this if The Player doesn't perfectly set everything back up in the exact way when Jumbo Josh checks on the room, Jumbo Josh will attack and kill them, before Jumbo Josh does this Banbaleena will say what mistake the Player made. Eventually after The Player makes enough progress Banbaleena will get up and write 3 non-sense equations on the whiteboard, to avoid Jumbo Josh catching them The Player wipes the equations off the whiteboards causing Banbaleena to realize that right now is not the time for math so she sits back down with The Player. After The Player escapes Banbaleena will run out as well and if The Player follows her she will see Banbaleena riding up the Worker Lift that provides transport between Floor -2 and Floor -3, She says that She has a class to go to and that she expects the player to be there for the fourth lesson, quoting โ you do NOT want to miss this one before taking her leave.
Garten of Banban IV
In Garten of Banban IV, she only appears in a room captured by Sheriff Toadster. Toadster says she tried to break out multiple times, but then eventually stopped and then kept repeating to herself "I can't be late".
Garten of Banban VI
In Garten of Banban VI, she will first appear after Nanny's jumpscare, after getting the lights for your Drone. She stands next to Sheriff Toadster. After talking with Sheriff and Player she goes to the house next to the Storage Gates.
she is also seen with Sheriff Toadster on the two Wood Towers. Before she gets kidnapped by The Naughty Ones with Sherif Toadster chasing after her.
At the end of the game, after getting to the Worker Lift she with the other mascots appears in naughtified form in Sir Dadadoo's army and attacks Banban after the lights turn off.
Garten of Banban VII
In Garten of Banban VII Banbaleena appears in the near end of the game, she appears in Cityngeon forcing the player to do a mini game of matching the mascots. Once beating the game, she leaves the player.
In the Monster Fight, Banbaleena participates it, she tried to jump on to Jumbo Josh but unfortunately was grabbed and thrown away by him. Banbaleena is now back to its original state and not under Sir Dadadoo's control.Story
Creation
Banbaleena was presented and created in an attempt to calm Banban down after he became hostile, using the genomes of Ms. Weverly Mason, who Banban requested to see prior. Upon coming to life, she had many of the symptoms Banban had, specifically the belief that she was her genome donor. She would quickly be assigned into testing and training with good behavior while the facility planned to have her meet Banban.
Meeting Banban
One day Banbaleena was put into the cell that Banban was using for solitary confinement. Banban looked at her confused as they stood in complete and utter silence for several minutes processing what they were looking at. Eventually Banban got up and hugged Banbaleena for a long time before going back to huddling in the corner. Immediately after this Banbaleena behavior worsened as she refused to obey any commands she was given.
Trivia
- Banbaleena brings up the fourth lesson again during Garten of Banban III and tells the Player they won't want to miss it.
- The noise Banbaleena hears outside of the room in the halls is actually a passing Slow Selineโs โHello..?โ
- In the Assembly Room in Garten of Banban II, golden figurines of Banban and Banbaleena can be seen dancing atop a wedding-style cake. This could indicate that Banbaleena's and Banban's genome donors may have been married as a couple at some point.
- Although, Banban and Banbaleena no longer share the same view on each other like their donors did; as Banbaleena was seen smashing the aforementioned cake on the floor in a tape discovered in Garten of Banban IV, showing that their overall relationship is fairly negative (compared to before) for reasons unknown.
- Perhaps it has to do with Flumbo, who is originally supposed to be her partner. Judging from Garten of Banban 0 she expresses no interest in Banban, but begin expresses interest in Flumbo who gave her the pink bow she still wears today
- Whenever Banbaleena walks out of the classroom, The Player can faintly see a stitch-like pattern going down her back (which is on the back of almost every mascot).
- In the Jumbo Josh puzzle, she will ask us to solve an equation written as โซโบ = โ, which could mean that the function of smiling is equal to infinite happiness (which might explain why she is cheerful all the time).
- If you change your resolution during the classroom section, you'll be able to press the button early and escape.
- Banbaleena is the only monster to change their look during their jumpscare.
