Overview[]
The Makeshift Doctor is a minor character that appears in Garten of Banban VIII: Anti Devil. He is a doctor who works at the Old Clinic.
Personality[]
The Makeshift Doctor is an unhinged, eccentric doctor who's completely obessed with Nabnaleena. He talks to himself constantly, stutters when nervous, and often gets carried away by his feelings. His love for Nabnaleena drives almost everything he does, even pressuring the Player to help him try and make another version of her. When the experiment fails and produces an abomination, he disposes of it out of devotion to the Nabnaleena. He also possesses a deep jealousy for Nabnab, claiming that he had it all, referring to Nabnaleena.
Appearance[]
The Makeshift Doctor looks similar to the Givanium Citizens and, to an extent, the Stalker. However, unlike the former, his chest and stomach are bunched up with extra skin. He has long, deflated lanky limbs, and his head is a round oval shape with a rounded triangular mouth slightly popping out from his head. His eye sockets are large vertical ovals with bunched up skin around the edges, and have black sclera in them. He also wears a mirror headband.
Gameplay[]
The Makeshift Doctor is first mentioned by the Bittergiggle Assistant, who tells the Player that there is a doctor in the clinic. After completing a few puzzles, the Player enters the operating room and finds the Makeshift Doctor banging his head on the wall. he scolds the Player for interrupting his "busy work," before realizing that Syringeon had placed a bounty of ten lollipops on the Player's head. However, instead of turning them in, he pressures the Player into helping him create a new version of Nabnaleena, admitting that he is obsessively in love with her and believes he'll never have the chance to be with the real one. He explains to the Player that the suturing machine needed reprogramming by replicating its required movements by stepping on the correct buttons on the dynamic floor.
After completing the puzzle, the Makeshift Doctor activates the suturing machine on his computer and waits for his creation to awaken. He asks "Nabnaleena" if she could hear him, but the abomination instead calls him "Papa". After he tries to reason with it a few more times, he crazily stabs the abomination with his scissors multiple times, killing it. He then has a mental breakdown and starts losing it, saying that he failed as the Givanium Abomination wakes up again, which he kills again. He then tells the Player they'll try again after a break and tells them to grab his keycard. However, when the Player returns, the Makeshift Doctor is grabbed by Clawrenzo and dragged into the hallway. His faint screams can be heard as the Player follows the Givanium trail, leaving him presumably deceased. However his body isn't found after defeating Clawrenzo.
