This manual of style dictates how different types of pages should be designed.
Character Pages
Infoboxes
Context on lists
Things that require context on the type/origin such as relationships and aliases must be described using the “” wiki text around brackets. An example for a relationship is “Bittergiggle (Frenemy)”, and an example for an alias is “The Devil (Case Update Reports)”. This provides a clear difference between the subject and the context that can be seen quickly, additionally the scaled down text allows aliases, relationships, and other lists often found in infoboxes to have each entry mostly stay on a single line.
Gallery Files
In a character infobox there are two image parameters that each have a purpose. Image is the basic images for the characters Monster, Depiction, Hellish, Naughtified, Hurt, and other forms. image2 is reserved for a characters Punchrush appearance, an exception to this is the Captain Fiddle’s Crew page.
The following is an example of the proper order a character gallery must be made in:
<gallery> Character Monster.png|Monster Character MonsterHurt.png|Hurt Character Depiction.png|Depiction Character Hellish.png|Hellish Character Naughtified.png|Naughtified </gallery>
Parameters
- The status parameter is the current status as of the most recent installment in the series. 3 classifications are allowed under this parameter; Alive, Deceased, and Unknown.
- Case is very simple. The word case followed by the case number
- Pronouns are to be written with the 2 main pronouns instead of 3 pronouns, this means they would be written as "He/Him" instead of "He/Him/His".
- Genomes are to be written in a list. Every monster has Givanium as a genome so this is to be written at the top of the list, followed by the characters genomes, the characters genomes are written in their non scientific names followed by their scientific names in brackets.
- Names should be written in a list with the source for the name in a reference.
Order of pages
Character pages must follow a simple order and keep each area under a certain heading size. The order of the groupings is as following:
- Overview
- Appearance
- Monster
- Depiction
- Hellish
- Naughtified
- Personality
- Interactions
- Gameplay
- Achievements
- Story
- Gameplay
- Sounds
- Voiceline Transcripts
- Trivia
- Gallery
Definitions
- Overview is a short overview of the character, typically explaining alternate names, the position of the character in the story.
- The appearance heading is split into various categories, in each category the form the category is about must be described.
- Personality is a category that can be split up into hellish, monster, and naughtified. It describes the characters personality.
- Interactions is a category split between gameplay and story. Gameplay also has a sub category of achievements that show the console achievements that can be earned revolving around the character. Story describes all story events that involve that character, this can include events that effect the character majorly but do not specifically mention the character.
- Sounds includes a list of sounds involving the character, see the sounds section below to see how this is displayed.
- Voiceline Transcripts is a self explanatory category, iy includes a full transcript of what that character has said. This section must be split up into each game with a tabber, then inside of each games tab, sub heading of the name of the scene in which the dialogue takes place in must be used to organize the dialogue in into different scenes. The dialogue template is not to be used unless the dialogue involves multiple characters, in that case it must be used.
- Trivia is a bullet point list section of various facts that don't fit into any other sections.
- Gallery is a complex category for galleries of images to be placed in, to see how to split up these galleries in the tabber view the galleries section just below.
Galleries
Galleries must be divided up into categories for the sake of organization, this is done with a tabber which allows easing navigation through the different groupings. Inside each tabber group they must be a sub heading 1 with the name of the tabber group, this allows for users on mobile which doesn't support the tabber still have notice of which category of image they are viewing. For documentation of how multi layered tabbers work visit Help:Tabber.
Sounds
Sounds must be in a list layout. This is possible to make in the visual editor but it is much easier and simpler in the source editor. Insert each sound file in a thumb format with no wrapping around text, place the caption of what the sound is on the sound file. An example of this is:
Sounds
