"Grab your weapons and delve into this action side-scroller intense adventure."

-Description

Missing Banban is a run-and-gun retro style adventure game developed by Simon Carney as a part of the Euphoric Partners Program. It released on May 29th 2025 as a spin-off to Garten of Banban, sharing highly similar mechanics and gameplay to Carney's previous game from 2022, titled OmegaBot.

Overview[]

Banban rules over the land of Banbania, where he is beloved by all. One day, Bittergiggle (who was imprisoned inside Queen Bouncelia's pouch and is NOT beloved by all) escapes from imprisonment and wrecks havoc and bad jokes across the land. Around the same time, Banban has gone mysteriously missing. It's up to Sheriff Toadster to go on a quest to find Banban, while also putting a stop to Bittergiggle's evil plot.

Development[]

The game was revealed in a trailer, and showed it would take inspiration from 8-bit video games of the late 1980s, and as well as be a run-and-gun. In “a Euphoric Message” the Euphoric Brothers wrote that they were not part of main development of the game, and that Simon Carney would be in charge of development as part of the Euphoric Partners Program.

The game's demo released in February 24, 2025,[1][2] gaining positive reviews.

Trivia[]

  • Ironically, Banban was falsely believed to have been kidnapped by Bittergiggle, the main antagonist. He instead was traveling to visit his friend.
  • The game possibly took inspiration from the MegaMan series, as well as the Alex Kidd series.
  • Strangly, Queen Bouncelia is of human size on the poster of the game, even though in the GoB IV, she was much bigger.
  • New forms were introduced where the monsters become Bittergiggle-like creatures. This shares similarities to Sir Dadadoo's Naughtification.
  • Tarta Bird possibly references the Wojak pointing meme, seen when he is pointing at Banban.
