Overview[]
Mural[]
Tamataki & Chamataki almost appear to be two monsters conjoined into one. The construction hats they wear may imply that they are construction workers. Tamataki is a tortoise with an aqua head and legs. Chamataki is a chameleon with a darker turquoise tone aside from his seafoam tongue and areas around his eyes. The two are connected via Tamataki's teal tortoise-like shell. Two legs from each extend from the bottom of the shell, and their heads from the front. Chamataki's coiled tail comes out the back. You can find their depiction after defeating them by pushing Mr. Kabob Man in front of the door leading to the room where Opila Chick resides, then interacting with the button on his back, opening a door with a white keycard inside. Bring the keycard back to Stinger Flynn's room, where there is a giant white door, then use the keycard to open the door, where Tamataki & Chamataki's depiction is located, along with a whiteboard that reads 'Case 22, Type 6: Givanium Cloy', and a note that explains what a Givanium Cloy is.
Monster[]
As per the norm, the monster appears quite similar to its depiction, just with more grotesque organic features. As a physical monster, Tamataki has a somewhat more humanoid face, now complete with nostrils and a mouth gaping open. Chamataki's tongue is now pink and lolling out of his open mouth. Neither one has a hard hat anymore.
Gameplay[]
Garten of Banban III[]
Tamataki & Chamataki are first seen when playing as Stinger Flynn in the Stinger Flynn Mode. In their first appearance Chamataki's tail can be seen at the end of a hallway peeking out of the door leading to the Button Room. When approached, the tail retreats into the darkness. Later Tamataki & Chamataki both appear a second time at the end of the game, in their own boss fight. In said fight, The Player must dodge Chamataki's giant tongue and Tamataki's projectile slime balls. (They cannot perform both attacks at once.) To fight back the player must activate buttons using the drone to acquire firework rockets. These are to be placed on Chamataki's tongue, and explode and deal damage when the tongue retracts. After Chamataki consumes 4 rockets they stand up and fall over into the abyss, knocking them out. With Tamataki & Chamataki now out of the way, the Player can collect the 2 party hats needed to activate Mr. Kabob Man, along with a burnt piece of paper showing three of โabandoned mascotsโ; a group of monsters Tamataki & Chamataki belong to.
Garten of Banban IV[]
Tamataki and Chamataki appear at the Start of Garten of Banban IV, directly after The Player begins moving Tamataki and Chamataki will jump out and begin chasing The Player. When the Player enters the Platform Rooms Tamataki & Chamataki are unable to get through such a narrow gap so they get stuck at the entrance of the room.
Garten of Banban VI[]
In this game, Tamataki & Chamataki are seen at the end of the game where Sir Dadadoo reveals what he has done to victims of The Naughty Ones, and Tamataki & Chamataki is one of those victims. Tamataki & Chamataki is seen on the left of the many Naughtified cases. When Banban tries to hold them off, Tamataki & Chamataki are fighting him alongside the other monsters.
Garten of Banban VII[]
In the beginning of GoBB 7, upon watching the Employee Survival Guide and grabbing the dispatched key card, an ominous moan can be heard from the elevator the Player stepped off from, revealing Tamataki and Chamataki (appearing still naughtified) crash landing on the elevator, before the elevator gave way due to their weight and plummeting to the abyss. At the very end, Tamataki and Chamataki (somehow have survived the elevator crash from the beginning) took part in the Naughty Fight against Jumbo Josh. During the fight they rush at Jumbo Josh pinning him against the courtyard wall however Josh quickly picks up Tamataki and Chamataki and throws them far behind him into the city.
Trivia[]
- Chamataki and Tamataki & Kittysaurus are similar in different ways, one of them being that both of them are hybrids.
- The soundtrack that plays during the Tamataki and Chamataki boss battle is called "Two Headed Battle." It's often described as oddly calm for a boss battle track.
- It's also the third most viewed song in the OST, with 2.2 million views, only behind Pancreas and Family Feud.
- In Tamataki and Chamataki's chase at the beginning of GoBB IV, Kittysaurus's bossfight theme "Jurassic Meow" plays instead.
- Tamataki & Chamataki didn't appear in any promotional material for the game, making their appearance all the more unexpected other than the Garten of Banban III song called "Rivals"
- Tamataki & Chamataki are a hybrid of two animals, being a chameleon and a tortoise.
- When Tamataki and Chamataki's tail disappears down the long corridor, you can just barely see their model disappear though the lighting makes it hard to see.
- According to the poll on the official Euphoric Brothers YouTube channel, Tamataki & Chamataki are the most popular characters originating from Garten of Banban III.
- Despite being confirmed male their features resemble females, due to their shell not being concaved and Chamataki's crown being shorter than a male chameleon's, especially in their depiction.
- If you use mods to fly in Garten of Banban VI at the ending where all the monsters are "naughtified" by Sir Dadadoo, Tamataki and Chamataki will actually look away.
